Pre-filled Tax Returns 2026: Changes, Pitfalls, and Deadlines

In 2026, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) will implement significant changes to pre-filled tax returns, extending the application to 2 million taxpayers. Taxpayers should carefully check the pre-filled data to avoid tax burdens.
The myAADE platform will open on March 16, 2026. Taxpayers should verify their data, including income, electronic receipts, living expenses, and dependent children. Errors or omissions can be corrected with an amended return.
Electronic submission will last until July 15, 2026. The amount due for those receiving a debit note must be paid in 8 monthly installments, with the first due by the end of July. Discounts are provided for lump-sum payments, depending on the date the return is filed.
