Cyprus Insurance Association Pledges Input on Tax Reform

The Cyprus Association of Insurance Companies (ΣΑΕΚ) has pledged to contribute to the public dialogue on tax reform, according to a statement. The pledge was made during a meeting with the Tax Commissioner, Sotiris Markidis, and members of the Ministry of Finance.

In its announcement, ΣΑΕΚ stated that the meeting was constructive, with an exchange of views on the proposed regulations for the insurance industry. Both sides agreed on the basic goals of the reform but acknowledged that some issues require further discussion.

ΣΑΕΚ assured that it will continue to monitor the drafting process of the bills, cooperating with all stakeholders, for the successful completion of the reform.
