Banks Explore Shipping Company Listings on Euronext

Greek banks, in collaboration with Euronext, are exploring the possibility of listing Greek shipping companies on the stock exchange.
According to reports, the banks are 'scanning' the market to identify companies that could proceed with relevant issuances. Initial contacts have already been made in cooperation with Euronext management.
Euronext CEO, Mr. Boujnah, mentioned during a recent visit to Athens that it is paradoxical that more Greek shipping companies are listed in Oslo than in Athens, adding that the integration of EXAE into Euronext will change the landscape.
Greek shipowners control approximately 20% of the global fleet and approximately 30% of the EU's capacity, with major decisions being made in Athens.
