Violanta Factory: Worker Complaint About Return to Work After Explosion

A worker at the Violanta factory, where a deadly explosion recently occurred, has complained that the company's management asked employees to return to perform cleaning work. The complaint was filed with the Trikala labor center.
The worker expressed fears for her safety, as the factory remains sealed and the conditions are not yet clear. The Trikala labor center has forwarded the complaint to the Labor Inspectorate.
Investigations into the causes of the explosion are continuing by the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes, while the lack of inspections at the facilities and the regular payment of financial aid to the company are also being investigated.
Specifically, despite the rejection of an initial request to install propane tanks, the Region of Thessaly later approved the installation of mechanical equipment under strict conditions. In addition, it approved the strengthening of the company's investment plan a few days before the fatal accident.
