Volkswagen is aiming for dominance in the European electric vehicle market with the launch of its new, affordable ID. Cross Concept car. The company, already a leader in the European EV market, plans to release the new model in the first half of next year, with a starting price of around 25,000 euros.

Volkswagen CEO Oliver Blume told CNBC that the company has improved its software and batteries, and that the new family of electric vehicles will be the first to incorporate Volkswagen's unified cell concept.

Despite increasing competition from Chinese automakers, Blume expressed confidence in Volkswagen's ability to remain competitive. He also welcomed recent trade progress between the US and the European Union, although he noted that US car import tariffs still pose a burden for the company.

Volkswagen currently holds a 28% market share in the European electric vehicle market and aims to increase it further with the new ID range.
