Wall Street Recovers, Erasing Recent Losses

Wall Street indices rebounded, marking a second consecutive day of gains and recovering recent losses. Optimism returned following easing geopolitical tensions, a shift in stance from Trump, and positive macroeconomic data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 306 points, or 0.63%, to 49,384. The S&P 500 gained 0.55% to reach 6,913, and the Nasdaq increased by 0.91% to 23,436.
The upward reaction was triggered by Trump's announcements that new tariffs would not be imposed on European countries and that a "framework agreement" had been reached for Greenland.
Among individual stocks, GE Aerospace faced pressure, Meta Platforms surged, and Northern Trust strengthened.
