World Series of Poker to be Held in Northern Cyprus

The World Series of Poker (WSOP), also known as the 'Poker Olympics,' will be held in Northern Cyprus this year. The event is organized by Merit International, with the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel hosting the event in October.

According to Merit Poker representatives, hosting the WSOP in Northern Cyprus is the result of years of work and strategic planning. The head of the organization, Songül Bekem, stated that the heart of poker will beat at Merit this fall.

Experts estimate that the arrival of the tournament will bring significant economic benefits to the region, boosting tourism and infrastructure. The WSOP attracts record numbers of participants, with the 2024 main tournament attracting more than 10,100 players.

Organizers and local authorities are in the final stages of preparations to ensure safety and provide high-quality hospitality services.
