Labor Ministry Urges Avoidance of Strikes Over Cost of Living Allowance (ATA)

The Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, through a written statement by Minister Yiannis Panayiotou, is urging the avoidance of strike action as contacts are underway regarding the Cost of Living Allowance (ATA).

The Minister emphasizes that the mediation process requires constructive contributions from social partners. Despite the difficulties, efforts to reach an agreement must continue in order to safeguard industrial peace and tripartite social cooperation.

In this context, contacts are being made and meetings are being planned with both sides, with the aim of ensuring normalcy and stability in the labor market.
