155 New Drivers for OASTH: Improved Bus Routes in Thessaloniki

OASTH (Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization) is reinforced with 155 new drivers, increasing the total number to 974. This is expected to improve the frequency of bus routes in the city.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, stated that the addition of new drivers will lead to more buses on the roads and better service for passengers.
The OASTH fleet already includes 156 new buses, including 110 electric and 46 diesel-powered. The addition of 50 articulated electric buses is planned for June 2026, through an international tender.
The strategic goal is for the OASTH fleet to consist entirely of new buses by the end of 2027.
