€2 Million Paid to Fire-Affected Farmers in Limassol

The Ministry of Agriculture has disbursed €2,299,147 in immediate financial aid to 775 farmers and livestock breeders affected by the fires in Limassol as of August 5th. Application reviews are ongoing to facilitate payments to the remaining affected parties.

Payments are expected to be completed by August 12th for those who submit the necessary documentation. 469 applications have been received, and an advance of up to 30% will be provided after evaluation.

Furthermore, on August 2nd, two schemes were announced for reactivation and infrastructure restoration, with a deadline for submitting damage declarations on August 22, 2025.

These actions followed a decision by the Council of Ministers on July 30, 2025, for immediate compensation and support measures.
