Vehicle Licenses: Deadline Approaching & Fines

The deadline for renewing vehicle licenses is fast approaching. The last day is Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
Those who do not renew their licenses by the deadline will be charged a fine. The fine is the sum of ā¬10 and 10% of the vehicle license fee.
A certificate of roadworthiness and insurance are required for renewal. Renewal can be done online or at the District Offices of the Road Transport Department (TOM), the Citizen Service Centers (KEP) and Citizen Advice Centers (KEPO).
Those who do not wish to renew their vehicle license for 2026 must submit a vehicle immobilization notice to the TOM.
Vehicles that were not renewed for 2025 and have not been declared immobilized will be removed from the TOM registry unless the amount due for 2025 is paid and their vehicle license is renewed for 2026.
In case of vehicle destruction, an application for cancellation of registration (form TOM 98A) with the 'Certificate of Destruction' must be submitted.
The TOM will not send notifications. Vehicle owners are responsible for updating their contact information.
