Larnaca Airport: Arrests for Smuggling Tobacco and Nicotine Products

On August 10, 2025, an Indian national was apprehended for carrying 459 nicotine pouches without a permit. He was released after an out-of-court settlement with a payment of €900.

On August 11, 2025, two Turkish Cypriots were arrested for transporting 150 cartons of cigarettes without the legal markings. The court ordered their detention.
