Takata Airbags: Study Completion Expected by September 10

The study of the investigation committee's report on Takata airbags is expected to be completed by September 10 by the Committee established by the Road Safety Council, according to statements by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeadis.
The Committee, which includes the TOM, the EMY, and the Police, has begun studying the report. Mr. Vafeadis called on citizens to proceed with the recalls of their vehicles, stressing that the eight-month period for recalls expires on October 3. After that date, the certificate of suitability will be removed from vehicles that have not complied.
The Minister urged citizens to contact the TOM in cases where distributors do not have available appointments. Finally, he clarified that the replacement of airbags by non-approved workshops is not recognized.
