Memorial Service Held for Isaac and Solomou Monument: "Symbols of Freedom for Cyprus"

A memorial service was held for the Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomou monument in Paralimni. The Mayor of Paralimni – Deryneia, Giorgos Nikolettos, stated that the two heroes are symbols of freedom for Cyprus and Hellenism.

In his speech, Mr. Nikolettos emphasized that Isaac and Solomou were children of Paralimni, and their sacrifice elevated the name of the city and Cyprus. "The blessing is a spiritual blessing and dedication of the monument to the memory and values embodied by the heroes," he said.

The Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of the homeland and the honor of the heroes. The blessing was performed by the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Ammochostos, Augustinos Karras. Relatives of the heroes, deputy mayors, members of parliament, and motorcyclists of the Isaac – Solomou Memory Initiative were present.
