AI Traffic Cameras in Occupied Territories: Violation Detection and SMS Fines

150 AI-powered cameras have been put into operation in the occupied territories, a donation from Turkey. The "Minister of Transport," Erhan Arıklı, stated that they mark a "new era" in traffic control in the "TRNC."

The cameras, 130 fixed and 20 in "police" vehicles, will detect violations such as smoking, mobile phone use, speeding, and dangerous driving. They will provide high-resolution evidence for the imposition of sanctions.

Fines will be sent directly to drivers' mobile phones via SMS, eliminating manual notifications.
