Optimistic Forecast for Rain and Increased Dam Capacity in Cyprus

Meteorologists are sending optimistic signals for the coming days and until the end of the month, regarding rains expected to significantly increase the flow into the dams.
According to the Department of Meteorology, rainfall will mainly occur in the mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, as well as on the western and southern slopes of Troodos, increasing the flow to the Kourris, Asprokremmos, and Evretou dams.
Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, an official from the Department of Meteorology, stated that warnings for rain and thunderstorms are expected until Sunday. Rainfall and isolated thunderstorms are expected tonight, mainly in coastal and mountainous areas.
The dam capacity today stands at 22.4%, approaching last year's corresponding percentage of 25%.
