Change of Command at KSED: Giorgos Oikonomou New Commander

On Monday, the handover ceremony of the Command of KSED took place from Vice Admiral Andreas Charalambides to Lieutenant Commander Giorgos Oikonomou.

According to an announcement, Vice Admiral Andreas Charalambides PN, as Commander of the Search and Rescue Coordination Center of the Republic of Cyprus since December 2018, contributed to the upgrading of KSED and the E-D System, as well as to the establishment of Cyprus as a hub for humanitarian services in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The staff of KSED thanked the outgoing commander for his service.
