ATF Report on Cyprus Fire Delivered Swiftly

The team of American fire experts, known as the ATF, visited Cyprus, inspected the fire site, identified the elements they wanted, preliminarily informed the President of the Republic of their findings, and a week later sent their report.
Everything was done in a flash. If a Research Committee had been appointed, it would have taken nine to 12 months of investigations and a report with recommendations that would never be implemented would have been expected. A characteristic example is the report on the Cooperative, where responsibilities were assigned, but no one was brought to Court.
The report is expected to be released to the public, as promised by the President of the Republic, to assess the accuracy of the information provided by the competent authorities.
