Immediate One-Time Payment for Fire Victims in Limassol Mountains

The Government is proceeding immediately with the payment of a one-time sum to support those affected by the fire in the Limassol mountains. According to reports, President Christodoulides has ordered the immediate recording of damage to homes and the composition of families.

Payments will begin after the approval of the measures by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday. The aim is to immediately address the daily needs of those affected.

The measure concerns one-time support for families with completely or partially destroyed homes. Specifically, €10,000 will be given to each family with total destruction and €2,000 for each dependent child, as well as €5,000 to each family with partial damage and €1,000 for each dependent child. In addition, personalized support will be given to vulnerable citizens.
