Emergency Return of Larnaca-Athens Flight Due to Technical Issue

A flight bound for Athens made an emergency return to Larnaca Airport approximately 45 minutes after takeoff due to a technical issue.

The aircraft, which took off at 18:03, returned at 18:47 after a problem arose. A passenger reported a strong burning smell in the cabin.

The aircraft descended rapidly from 27,000 to 10,000 feet, and oxygen masks were deployed. Passengers were transferred to another aircraft to continue their journey to Athens.
