Health authorities have announced a recall of spearmint from the Cypriot market because it contains celery, which is not declared on the packaging.

The product is SPEARMINT, brand name 'Nobel', with a best before date of 30/09/2027, net weight of 20g, and origin in Egypt.

During inspections, celery, an allergenic ingredient, was detected in accredited laboratories of the General Chemical State Laboratory, but it was not declared on the label.

The company distributing the product has been informed for immediate withdrawal. Consumers with celery allergy are advised to avoid consumption and return it to the stores where they purchased it.
