Mint recall in Cyprus due to celery content
The Health Services have announced a recall of spearmint from the Cypriot market because it contains celery that is not listed on the packaging.
The product is SPEARMINT, trade name "Nobel", with a best before date of 30/09/2027, net weight 20g and country of origin Egypt.
The presence of the allergenic ingredient (celery) was detected during official inspections by the General Chemical State Laboratory.
The company distributing the product has been informed to immediately withdraw it. Consumers with celery allergies are urged to avoid consumption and return it to the stores where they purchased it.
