Spearmint 'Nobel' Recalled in Cyprus Due to Celery Contamination

Health authorities have announced a recall of spearmint, brand name 'Nobel', from the Cypriot market. The reason is the detection of celery in the product, which is not declared on the label.

Specifically, the product is SPEARMINT 'Nobel', with a best before date of 30/09/2027, net weight of 20g, and country of origin Egypt.

According to the announcement, celery is an allergen and can cause health problems in allergic individuals. Consumers allergic to celery are urged to avoid consuming the product and return it to the stores where they purchased it.

The company distributing the product has been informed and instructed to immediately withdraw it from the market.
