The Cyprus Ministry of Health has announced a recall of NAN Optipro 1 (800g) infant formula from Nestle, batch 51210346AB, with a best before date of 11/2026, due to the possible presence of cereulide, produced by the microorganism Bacillus cereus.

The recall is being carried out as a precautionary measure. The initial recall list also includes S-26 GOLD 1 400g (batch 51550346AE, date 30/6/2027), NAN EXPERTpro SENSITIVE PLUS 400g (batch 51250742C1, date 30/11/2026) and NAN EXPERTpro Lactose Free 400g (batch 51520346AD, date 30/6/2027).

The Ministry of Health urges consumers not to use these specific batches and to return them to the stores where they were purchased. Health Services are investigating the incident and will issue a further announcement if additional products are identified.

Special attention is advised for purchases made online from stores outside of Cyprus.
