Farmers' Protest Suspended After Intervention by Minister of Agriculture

Tomorrow's farmers' protest against KOAP is suspended following an initiative by the Minister of Agriculture, Maria Panagiotou.

Following the Minister's initiative, a broad meeting was held with farmers' organizations, KOAP officials, the Director of the Department of Agriculture, and senior officials from the Ministry of Interior.

The Minister submitted a mediation proposal regarding private plots with multiple owners, which appeared to be adopted by KOAP. The parties involved reached a common understanding and the promotion of specific solutions, leading to the suspension of the protest.

Prior to the meeting, a meeting was held between the Ministers of Agriculture and Interior with the KOAP Commissioner, while all necessary actions by the state departments had been completed.
