Trial of 5 Greek Cypriots in occupied territories adjourned

The hearing in the case of five Greek Cypriots being «tried» by a «military court» in the occupied territories on charges of «illegal entry» has been adjourned to August 27. The «court» decided that all five defendants should remain in custody until the next «hearing».
The hearing continued today in the occupied territories, with the «prosecution» presenting evidence to the «court» regarding the dates of entry and exit of the third «defendant», who answered questions from both the «prosecution» and the defense lawyers.
During today's proceedings, the defense argued that the records concerning the entry of the defendants into the occupied territories from the Strovolia crossing point had been altered.
The next «hearing» was set for Wednesday, August 27, at 10:00 am. According to reports, although the «military court» normally convenes only every Thursday, at today's hearing of the «trial», the «judge» expressed the intention to expedite the process with sessions on August 27, 28 and 29.
