The President of the Tillyria community complex, Nikos Kleanthous, expressed concern about the desertification of villages in the Tillyria region, emphasizing that residents are fighting a daily battle for survival.

According to Mr. Kleanthous, the schools in Kato Pyrgos Tillyrias have very few students, while villages such as Mosfili, Pigainia, and Pachyammos have been abandoned. He also mentioned the Turkish side's refusal to discuss opening a crossing point in the area, citing a military zone.

Mr. Kleanthous reported that two helicopters with "officials" of the pseudo-state, as well as small buses with passengers from the occupied territories, arrived in Kokkina for the commemorations of the bombings of Tillyria by the Turkish air force.

The priest of the Kato Pyrgos community, Father Ioannis Spyridonos, stated that "we mourn on such a day, and they celebrate," while a resident of the area, Androulla Theologou, requested the state's assistance.
