A humanitarian aid shipment totaling 1,200 tons departed from Limassol Port to Gaza as part of the “Amalthea” Plan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the initiative is under the auspices of the UN delivery mechanism. The cargo will be transshipped through Ashdod Port, without additional security checks, for distribution within Gaza.
The aid includes food items for infant nutrition and originates from Cyprus, Malta, and international humanitarian organizations based in the United States, Italy, Malta, and Kuwait.
The Government of the United Arab Emirates is making a catalytic contribution to the effort. Cyprus will continue to promote humanitarian initiatives, as stated by President Christodoulides.
