Reactions to Teacher's Transfer from Makarios Pediatric Oncology Clinic

The Alkinoos Artemiou Foundation is requesting an immediate review of the transfer of teacher Eleni Anastasiou from the Pediatric Oncology Clinic of Archbishop Makarios III Hospital. In a statement, the Foundation expresses concern and disappointment regarding the decision, emphasizing that the transfer took place despite assurances from the Minister of Education.

The Foundation underlines that Ms. Anastasiou's presence is crucial for the emotional, pedagogical, and psychological support of children with oncological and hematological conditions. Her removal disrupts a relationship of trust and stability.

The Foundation joins its voice with other foundations and calls on the Educational Service Committee and the Ministry of Education to proceed with an immediate review and suspension of the transfer.
