Email Scam Alert: EAC Warns of Fake Electricity Bills

The EAC (Electricity Authority of Cyprus) is warning the public about new incidents of misleading emails being sent to consumers. These emails falsely claim that electricity bills are unpaid, with the subject line ‘FINAL NOTICE: Unpaid Account HHA 11256285404 – Risk of Disconnection’.

The EAC clarifies that these messages do not originate from them and are a phishing attempt. Citizens are advised to be especially careful with emails that include links or attachments.
