Bus strike causes disruptions in Larnaca

A strike by employees of the public transport company Larnaca Public Transport began at midnight, causing disruptions to commuters in Larnaca.

The employees are protesting the non-compliance with working hours and contractual obligations for a 38-hour work week. The unions PEO, SEK, and DEOK announced that the Department of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor found a violation of the Collective Agreement.

Larnaca Public Transport expressed regret for the continuation of the strike and the disruption of routes, apologizing to the public for the inconvenience.

The company assures that it is making every effort to restore normalcy.
