Taxi Driver Strike in Cyprus

Urban taxi drivers are on strike protesting industry problems. Demonstrations began at 08:30 with marches in front of the Ministry of Transport, the Parliament, and the Presidential Palace.

The main demand is addressing the illegal activity of private vehicles operating as 'pirate' taxis.
