Larnaca Bus Strike: Disruptions to Public Transport

An indefinite strike began at midnight by employees of the public transport company Larnaca Public Transport, causing disruptions to public transport in Larnaca.

The employees are protesting the non-compliance with the schedule and contractual obligations for a 38-hour work week. The unions PEO, SEK, and DEOK announced that the Department of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor has ruled that there is a blatant violation of the Collective Agreement.

Larnaca Public Transport expressed its regret for the continuation of the strike and the complete suspension of routes, apologizing to the public for the disruption.
