Educator Maroula Theodosiadou Passes Away

Educator Maroula Theodosiadou passed away at the age of 92, causing sadness in the educational community. Maroula Theodosiadou was a pioneer in pre-primary education in Cyprus and was distinguished for her literary work.
As announced by AKEL, Maroula Theodosiadou supported refugee children by creating kindergartens in refugee camps. She was also a dynamic trade unionist of POED, defending the rights of teachers.
The Progressive Movement of Teachers and Kindergarten Teachers bid her farewell as a woman-symbol of struggle and contribution, emphasizing her contribution to the defense of public education and the dignity of women educators.
Maroula Theodosiadou was honored for her contribution with the Teukros Anthias-Theodosis Pieridis Award of KE AKEL.
