Takis Tsaggaris, Former Officer of the Cypriot Army, Passes Away

Takis Tsaggaris, a former officer of the Cypriot Army and member of the Reserve Corps, has passed away. Takis Tsaggaris was the author of the book 'My Testimony 1955-1974'.
In an interview given to SIGMA in 2018, Takis Tsaggaris revealed aspects of the Cypriot tragedy, arguing that Nikos Sampson saved Makarios supporters and was a victim of EOKA B. He also referred to a conversation he had with an employee of the American embassy in Cyprus before the coup.
Tsaggaris served as commander of the Third Company and senior sub-lieutenant during the period of the coup and the invasion.
