An investigation is underway by the Police regarding a banner with abusive content displayed by APOEL fans against Fidias Panagiotou, during a football match between Freedom 24 Krasava ENY – APOEL at Ammochostos Stadium.

The banner was displayed before the start of the match. Police are reviewing footage from the stadium's closed-circuit surveillance system to identify the individuals involved.

The case concerns the offense of Prohibition of using racist or abusive slogans or symbols, in violation of the relevant law. According to the legislation, offenders face imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of up to one thousand euros, or both penalties.

Investigations are continuing to identify the perpetrators.
