New Hospital Approved for Polis Chrysochous

A new hospital will be built in Polis Chrysochous, following a meeting at the Presidential Palace under President Nikos Christodoulides. The meeting was attended by representatives of OKYpY, the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous Giotis Papachristofi, and members of the Parliamentary Health Committee.
Tenders for the construction are expected in the second half of 2026, with the project's completion scheduled two years later, in late 2028. Mr. Papachristofi expressed his satisfaction with the development, emphasizing the necessity of the project for the region.
Charalambos Pazaros, a DISY MP, welcomed the start of a new series of projects in the area. Valentinos Fakontis, an AKEL MP, supported the need for a modern hospital. Chrysanthos Savvidis, a DIKO MP, expressed gratitude to the President. Ilias Myrianthous, an EDEK MP, stated that the new hospital will include a dialysis unit, an obstetrics and pediatrics clinic, and a trauma rehabilitation unit, costing approximately 17 million euros.
