Hazy Atmosphere Due to Dust – Recommendations for the Public and Employers

High concentrations of dust are observed today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in the atmosphere, according to the Department of Labor Inspection.

The public, especially vulnerable groups, are urged to avoid open spaces. Employers must take measures to protect outdoor workers, in accordance with Decree K.D.P. 410/2022.

The latest hourly dust measurements are available on the Department of Labor Inspection website and in the «Air Quality Cyprus» application.

Dust is considered to be inhalable suspended particles PM10, with a daily limit value of 50 μg/m3.
