Paralympian Karolina Pelendritou Denied Taxi Ride Due to Guide Dog

Karolina Pelendritou, a Paralympian and flag bearer for the Cypriot team at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, was refused service by a taxi driver because of her guide dog.
The driver cited concerns about potential soiling of the vehicle, despite Law 3765/2009 guaranteeing the right of guide dogs to travel freely on all means of transport, without additional charges.
Pelendritou's social media post went viral, generating numerous comments regarding the driver's behavior.
