The Council of Ministers has approved an increase in the allowance for residents of remote areas, abolishing the second tier and redistributing the communities.

Specifically, the €500 tier (60-79km distance) is abolished, and the communities are moved to the €600 tier (>=60km distance). The remaining tiers are as follows: €300 for residents of communities with a distance of 40-59km or 30-39km and an altitude >=700m.

The decision affects the communities of Agios Theodorou Tillyrias, Alevga, Gerakies, Kalopanagiotis, Kampos, Mansoura, Milikouri, Mosfili, Moutoullas, Oikos, Pachyammos, Pedoulas, Selladi of Appi, Tsakkistra, and Livadi Pafou.

The 50% increase for the Tillyria communities will only apply to those communities that fall within the region.

Beneficiaries who have already applied for 2025 will automatically receive the increased amount.
