Following Deryneia and Avlona, Turkish provocations reached Mammari, a community in the buffer zone. Turkish soldiers chased Greek Cypriot farmers cultivating their fields, damaging their tractor.

Nikos Kotziapashis, the community leader of Mammari, stated that this is the first time such an incident has occurred in the community. Vasilis Palmas, the Minister of Defence, emphasized that the Turkish army is undermining the talks.

Gavriil Gerolemou, one of the farmers, reported that they were pelted with stones and grabbed by the neck. Nikos Kotziapashis criticized UNFICYP for not intervening.

UNFICYP has increased its patrols in the area. Alim Sidique, UNFICYP Spokesperson, stated that they are investigating the incident and are in contact with both sides.

Nikos Christodoulides, the President of the Republic, condemned the actions of the Turkish army.

Bayrak claimed that Greek Cypriot farmers violated the dividing line and attacked the security forces of the pseudo-state.
