Weather Alert: Dust, Rain, and Possible Thunderstorms This Weekend

A low-pressure system from Egypt will affect Cyprus this weekend, bringing dust to the atmosphere. Dust concentrations will be intermittently high until Sunday.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with local rain in the early morning. Winds 3-5 Beaufort. Sea slightly rough to rough. Temperatures will drop to 9 degrees inland, 11 on the coast, and 3 in the mountains, with possible frost at higher altitudes.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with rain and possible thunderstorms. Snow or sleet on the highest peaks of Troodos. Winds 4-6 Beaufort with gusts up to 7 Beaufort. Sea rough to locally wavy. Temperatures will rise to 17 degrees inland and on the coast, and 8 in the mountains.

Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with rain and possible thunderstorms. Winds initially 5 Beaufort, later 3-5 Beaufort. Sea rough.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm. Snow or sleet in the higher mountains. Improvement in the late afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday, locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times.

Temperatures will rise slightly on Sunday, while no significant change is expected on Monday and Tuesday.
