Weather Update: High Temperatures and Red Alert for Fires

In the afternoon, the weather will be mainly clear and hot, with local cloudiness in the mountains. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort on the southern coasts. The sea will be slightly rough and up to rough in the south. The temperature will rise to 43 degrees Celsius inland, 37 degrees on the southern, eastern and northern coasts, and 34 degrees on the western coasts and in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear. The winds will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly and locally variable, light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. The temperature will drop to 27 degrees Celsius inland, 26 degrees on the coasts and 24 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow, the weather will remain mainly clear and hot. The temperature will remain at 43 degrees Celsius inland, 37 degrees on the southern, eastern and northern coasts, 35 degrees on the western coasts and 34 degrees in the higher mountains.

Over the next three days, the weather will continue to be mainly clear and hot. The temperature is not expected to change significantly during the three days, remaining significantly above the average climatological values.

The risk of fires remains at a red alert level.
