Larnaca Port and Marina Development Consultations Begin

The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeadis, met with the Mayor of Larnaca and representatives of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP) to discuss the development of Larnaca's port and marina. The meeting was also attended by the Director-General of the Ministry, Dr. Marina Ioannou Hasapi.

Mr. Vafeadis stated that consultations between HCAP's advisors and the local community are commencing. The initial discussions will continue in the coming days.

The Minister emphasized that all opinions will be taken into account, and continuous consultation with the government and the community of Larnaca will follow. He expressed hope that deliverables will be available before the new year and in early next year.

The Mayor of Larnaca mentioned that the project to develop a large area of the marina, which will be connected to the rest of the city and Europe Square, is also progressing.

Mr. Vafeadis expressed hope that the Naval Club project and the renovation of Europe Square will give a new structure to Larnaca.
