Kouriou Mayor Concerned About Compensation for Unauthorized Properties

The Mayor of Kouriou, Pantelis Georgiou, expressed concern regarding compensation for unauthorized properties, which constitute approximately 30% of cases in the area.

Speaking on 'Proino Dromologio,' Mr. Georgiou praised the Government's support measures but emphasized his concern about illegal houses outside residential zones, which risk being excluded from state funding.

He stressed the need for coordination between the district officer and the provincial self-government organization so that illegal residences that could obtain building permits can receive financial assistance from the state.
