€15.5 Million Approved for Agricultural Damage Compensation in Limassol

The State Aid Control Commissioner has approved a €15.5 million scheme to compensate for damages to agricultural production in the Limassol district, caused by the fire on July 23, 2025.

The measure concerns 28 communities, including Agios Amvrosios, Agios Georgios Sylikou, and Ypsonas. The measure will last until 2029.

The responsible authority for implementation is the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

Beneficiaries are natural and legal persons under private law whose farms were affected by the fire.

The legal basis is Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2022/2472.
