Hundreds Participate in Limassol Cycling Tour
The 10-kilometer Limassol cycling tour was held on Sunday as part of the Ā«Lemesia powered by BRO BrainRocketĀ» sports event. The event aimed to promote cycling as an alternative and green means of transportation.
Participants of all ages and skill levels enjoyed the route, which started from the Enaeriou parking area. Deputy Mayor of Mesa Geitonia, Marios Protopapas, representing Mayor Giannis Armeftis, called the event one of the most important of Lemesia.
The President of the Limassol Sports Office, Loizos Mavroudis, emphasized that the goal is for cycling to become an integral part of everyday life, combining health, recreation, and respect for the environment. Nextbike supported the event by offering free bicycles.
The event demonstrated that Limassol can successfully host major sporting events.
