Explosion at Transformer Station in Morphou – Power Outage in Occupied Areas

An explosion occurred at a transformer station in the occupied village of Nikita, in the Morphou district, causing a power outage in various areas of the occupied territories.

Turkish Cypriot media report that power generation stations are not functioning and the system has locked down, resulting in no energy production.

Citizens are being assured that intensive work is underway to repair the damage and restore power.

Employees of the power generation company are complaining about poor maintenance, lack of appropriate materials and components, and a lack of investment.
