Report on Department of Forests: Land Concessions Without Documentation

Significant weaknesses in the management of state forest land were identified in the Special Report EE-EY 02/2026 by the Auditor General regarding the Department of Forests (2018–2024). According to the report, land concessions were observed without sufficient documentation, delays, and a loss of millions.

Many of the leases concern Natura areas.
