Audit Report on Department of Forests: Serious Allegations

The Special Audit Report No. ΕΕ-ΕΥ 02/2026 reveals serious weaknesses in the Department of Forests (ΤΔ) for the period 2018–2024. The audit identified problems in the leasing of forest land, omissions in environmental assessment, and lack of transparency.

In addition, delays in rent revisions, non-compliance with contractual terms, and illegal interventions in coastal areas were found. Outstanding revenues of €1.3 million are also pending. The report emphasizes the need to strengthen environmental compliance and transparent management.
